Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated professional to support individuals in recovery from substance abuse.
• This full-time position requires working onsite in Astoria, NY, providing personalized support and guidance to clients.
• The role involves assisting clients in maintaining sobriety and accessing community resources, with a schedule of Mon-Fri (1 Rotating Saturday Per Month) 7am-3pm or 11am – 7pm or 3pm -11pm - need to be flexible as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), must be full CRPA
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Experience in providing support to individuals in recovery from substance abuse
• Ability to share personal recovery experiences constructively
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of relapse prevention strategies
• Experience in leading support groups
