The Opportunity

As a Solutions Summer Intern at Black and Veatch, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects through engaging in work products that contribute to the completion of project deliverables for internal or external clients. Team leaders or engagement management provide regular guidance and high level of oversight.  Interns will be selected for one of the following solutions:

• Operations and Maintenance Services – through proactive data analytics, efficient maintenance philosophies, and optimized operational practices this solution operations and maintains client’s electrical generation, distribution, and storage assets.
• AI & Digital Solutions – Focus on enabling advanced engineering decision making through digitization and analysis of clients operational and historical data for internal and external clients.
• Project Management Office – Provides program management as a service to clients to deliver complex projects and programs flawlessly.
• Plant Modifications and Retrofits – provides world class engineering solutions to enable clients to maintain their assets performance through upgrades and modifications throughout the assets lifetime.

Minimum Qualifications

Current enrollment in accredited university in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field of study. No previous experience required. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment

This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
