Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 annually (based on 40 hours/week) Non-Exempt - Eligible for Overtime
Job Summary Responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, and commercialization of new technologies and innovations relating to improved golf club performance.
A Design Engineer I works with the R&D team to support the mission of our department: to develop best-in-class golf equipment. This engineering role will be involved in a variety of product categories in both a research and development capacity.
Essential Job Duties Essential job duties identified below represent expected duties, though the exact role may be shaped to fit the candidate.
- Create golf clubhead designs using CAD software (NX)
- Conduct analytical research to improve the performance of golf club products.
- Document specifications, create drawings, maintain spec databases
- Use proprietary advanced modeling software
- Work closely with engineers, designers, CAD specialists, and Marketing personnel throughout research, development, and product launch phases.
- Prepare, organize, and otherwise communicate findings in technical reports to management and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Interact and communicate with domestic and international component suppliers to convey design and engineering requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
Supervisory Responsibilities TRAVEL This position is unlikely to require travel domestically and internationally.

- Employee expected to work under close to moderate supervision of a Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader.
COMPETENCIES - Experienced in the use of 3D CAD software, including parametric modeling and free form surfacing.
- Ability to use MS Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good critical thinking skills
- Strong ability to work well with a cross-functional team
- Good knowledge of golf club design and terminology, or demonstrated ability to acquire this knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong ability to problem solve and work through problems analytically
Required Education & Experience - Ideal candidates would have a Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following majors: Mechanical/Aerospace/Industrial/Civil Engineering, Material Science, Physics.
- Experience using advanced CAD software (ideally NX)
Preferred Education & Experience - Some experience (1-3 years) in Engineering field helpful but not necessary.
- Avid golfer a plus
- Experience in product development a plus
- Experience in the golf industry a plus: equipment OEMs, sales, fitting, teaching
