Job description:
United Concrete Products, Inc. in Wallingford, CT is currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. We are a family-owned precast concrete manufacturer. The desired candidate will have completed a program that utilized AutoCAD software.
Responsible for producing accurate shop drawings, erection drawings, and detail sheets for precast concrete products using AutoCAD. Works closely with engineers, project managers, and production staff to support on-time, code-compliant delivery of precast elements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and revise shop drawings for precast components including culverts, arches, 3-sided bridges, prestress, etc.
Interpret structural contract documents to produce production-ready drawings
Coordinate with engineering on embed layouts, reinforcement details, and connection hardware
Maintain drawing files and revision logs in accordance with company standards
Communicate with the production floor to resolve drawing questions and field conditions
Assist in quantity takeoffs and material lists as needed
