Job Title: Host/Hostess

Department: Front of House

Reports to: General Manager / Floor Manager

Location: Altura Concepts Restaurants (Various Locations)

Job Summary:

As the first point of contact for guests, the Host/Hostess plays a vital role in delivering the warm, welcoming hospitality that defines the Altura Concepts experience. This role is responsible for greeting guests, managing wait times, seating arrangements, and ensuring a smooth flow of service from the front door to the dining table.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and sincerely upon arrival.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations using the restaurant’s reservation system.
• Assign guests to tables while balancing server sections.
• Communicate wait times effectively and accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entrance area.
• Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries and to-go orders as needed.
• Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
• Support other front-of-house staff when necessary to ensure seamless service.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.

Qualifications:

• Prior hospitality or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, professional demeanor and a genuine love for hospitality.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
