Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Upland, CA (On-site)

Compensation: $60K - $85K

Position Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer you will support the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of mechanical systems and components in a production environment. This position is ideal for an early-career mechanical engineer who enjoys hands-on work, collaboration with manufacturing teams, and applying engineering fundamentals to real-world products.

The role blends mechanical design, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support, with exposure to CNC processes, product testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and modification of mechanical components and assemblies
• Create and maintain 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software
• Support engineering change activities, including documentation and implementation
• Perform mechanical and system-level troubleshooting on production and test equipment
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to improve product performance and manufacturability
• Support testing, validation, and verification of mechanical systems and components
• Analyze engineering data and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to cost, quality, and reliability
• Maintain engineering documentation, specifications, and reports
• Provide technical support to production and manufacturing teams as needed

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or systems engineering
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar tools
• Exposure to manufacturing environments, including CNC machining or fabrication processes
• Understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, tolerances, and basic GD&T (preferred)
• Familiarity with engineering analysis and test tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or LabVIEW (preferred)
• Exposure to design for manufacturability and design for assembly concepts (preferred)
• Knowledge of quality tools, root cause analysis, or corrective action processes (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
