Job Description

Welding and fabrication company in Lancaster, PA is hiring a 2nd shift MIG/Fluxcore welder to add to their growing team! Work for a team that puts their employees first and has a family-like culture. They have been in business for 90 years and counting!

2nd shift: 3pm - 12am/1am (Overtime available on front end of shift and Saturdays. Overtime is currently optional)

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations adhering to FCAW standards on structural steel in vertical and overhead positions
• Welding primarily on carbon steel and some stainless steel
• Operate equipment such as metal cutting saws, torches, plasmas, drills, weld gauges, material handling equipment, and grinders.
• Set up welding machines for various job requirements.
• Read and interpret welding symbols on plans and drawings.
• Grind and perform various joint preparations.
• Sequence welds to prevent distortion of material.

Essential Skills

• 5 or more years of experience in welding, preferably in structural steel.
• Competency in MIG welding, especially in vertical and overhead positions.
• Experience with Carbon steel and some stainless steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proper rigging techniques.
• Technical skills in the welding trade.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols.
• Certification in several welding processes including FCAW is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
