ANALYST I (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - CHANNEL COAST DISTRICT / VENTURA COUNTY / SAN BUENAVENTURA STATE BEACH

The reporting location for this position is the Ventura Sector Office located in San Buenaventura State Beach, Ventura, CA. This position will work under the under the supervision of the State Park Superintendent II of the Channel Coast District and plays a critical role in supporting the Public Safety and Visitor Services Programs within the District. This position provides administrative, technical, and analytical support; with responsibilities including public safety records keeping and the management of both digital and physical evidence, and supports the visitor services operation. Possess or obtain a California Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification within three (3) months of hire.

Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.


This position may work up to 1500 hours in any calendar year. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.

Working Conditions

Office environment with travel throughout the district as needed. Daily and frequent use of personal computer, copy machines, office phone, and other typical office functions. Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time. Work environment may have exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, elevations, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.  Occasional travel required and work outside of office. This position will periodically require travel throughout the District.

Special Requirements
