Job Description

Beck Construction & Excavation is looking for a Skilled Concrete Finisher with at least 2 years of experience to join our field team. This position requires someone who understands concrete behavior, can read grade, and takes pride in producing clean, professional work.

While concrete finishing is a primary responsibility, Beck Construction & Excavation is a full excavation and site development company. This is a working crew position, and team members are expected to assist with other field tasks when concrete work is not scheduled.

Responsibilities:

• Place, level, and finish concrete for sidewalks, slabs, ramps, and other flatwork.
• Perform finishes such as broom, trowel, and other specified finishes.
• Read grades, slopes, and plan callouts to ensure proper drainage and compliance.
• Work with the crew and foreman to maintain quality and productivity on job sites.
• Assist with general construction and site work when concrete finishing is not required.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years concrete finishing experience.
• Must provide your own finishing tools.
• Ability to read grades and understand slope requirements.
• Experience with hand finishing tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers).
• Willingness to assist with other field tasks as part of the crew.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work outdoors in varying conditions.
