The General Store, a locally owned establishment in Spokane, WA, is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Sporting Goods Clerk to join our team. As a Sporting Goods Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting with stocking and pricing merchandise, and ensuring a safe and well-organized department for our valued customers.

General Summary

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases
• Proactively offer add-on sales and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain a clean and orderly department by stocking and pricing merchandise

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure positive representation of the store and assist customers promptly
• Proactively help customers find the items they are looking for and offer solutions to problems
• Maintain excellent product knowledge and provide training for services offered
• Assist with online orders and ensure the department is well-recovered throughout the day
• Contribute to store operations, merchandising, and inventory management
• Follow safety procedures and assist with various store support operations
• Participate in training associates within the department and assist with leadership tasks as requested

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous retail experience desired
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of Hunting and fishing beneficial to hiring.
