Responsibilities
- Implement components of patient care, obtain data related to treatments, and collaborate with the physical therapist to modify care as necessary.
- Assist the physical therapist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to end of life.
- Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups; read instructions from the Physical Therapist and work directly with them to support patient care.
- Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area and assist with transfers as directed.
- Read and follow instructions from the Physical Therapist; perform tasks to support therapy sessions and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
- Communicate with families to identify at-home techniques and provide balance training or similar techniques as appropriate.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.

Requirements
- Active PTA license in Missouri.
- Minimum 1 year PTA experience required.
- LTC or Rehab experience required.
- Ability to work in a long-term care / rehabilitation setting.
- PTA credential recognized in Missouri; submission at posted rate is required, and higher rates may redirect the candidate.
