Overview
Registered Nurse, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) – Travel assignment in State College, PA. Start date 03/28/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,822–$1,908 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Hour Days. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires nursing care for patients across the pediatric through geriatric age range in a high-acuity environment, with a focus on critical care standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to treat life-threatening problems using AACN-aligned standards for patients from pediatric through geriatric ages.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, including health history and physical examinations; prioritize problems and plan care accordingly.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care; execute nursing interventions and referrals; coordinate discharge planning and appropriate referrals.
- Manage life-threatening complications, maintain airway and ventilation, ensure hemodynamic stability, and recognize and respond to abnormal heart rhythms per hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge and skills in critical care practice; participate in mandatory education, annual competencies, and ongoing professional development.
- Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion and ambulance transport as needed, and support the interdisciplinary team in delivering high-quality critical care.

Requirements
- Experience in critical care or PICU settings is preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary critical care environment
- Willingness to support a system transition (Meditech to EPIC) with preference given to candidates with EPIC experience
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and adherence to AACN standards
