X-Ray Technician job at Confidential Wallingford, CT, US

Job Description

Work Location:

Multiple locations: Wallingford, CT, and surrounding neighborhoods (Cheshire, Southington, Meriden)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00 - $44.00 per hour
Schedule: M-F, 8 am5 pmm + rotating weekend every 8 weeks
Expected hours: 40 per week (OT is available to those who want it)

Radiology Technician Job Duties

Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays according to established imaging protocol.ls
Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by the physician or physician assistant.
Protect patients and staff by practicing radiation safety and adhering to ALARA standards.
Work closely with the physician and the physician assistant to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients.
Use of CR X-ray equipment
Operation of the C-Arm for procedures as required
Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and immediately report any issues to the supervisor
Maintain the x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies
Trains new employees as needed, as well as training students as they rotate through the facility

Additional Job Duties:

Assist medical assistants with patient intake, suture &/or staple removal, and drawing up injections as needed per the provider
Training in casting and splint application/removal
Training in bracing application
