MIG Weld Repair Technician

Full-Time | Overtime Available

Pay: $20/hr

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MIG Weld Repair Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for inspecting and repairing welded components to ensure they meet quality and structural standards. The ideal candidate has strong MIG welding experience, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG weld repairs on steel components and assemblies
• Inspect welded parts for defects including porosity, undercut, incomplete fusion, and distortion
• Grind, prep, and rework welds to meet quality specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
• Follow established welding procedures and quality standards
• Use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances
• Work closely with quality and production teams to resolve welding issues
• Maintain welding equipment and ensure safe operating condition
• Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• 1+ year of MIG welding experience (repair experience preferred)
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• Experience using grinders and fabrication tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
