The Public Safety Officer ( Security Officer ) is responsible for patrolling JHMI campus via foot, mobile unit or bicycle to protect against illegal activities, theft, fire, vandalism, hazardous conditions,

infringements, etc.

Hours :

Evenings (4pm -12midnight) 3:30pm roll call

Location :

Columbia MD

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in security, law enforcement, or
  healthcare-related fields preferred.

Requirements :

• Requires current certification in use of Corporate Security Services self defense equipment.

Work Experience:

• The candidate must have one (1) year of security experience in the Public Safety Officer
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
